A Message to the Community

As each year comes and goes the items of the past grow older as well therefore a bit more prized, rare, & sought after. We all find ourselves saying "If only I had saved it." or "I had three of those growing up!" the bottom line, We all wish we had held onto some of that "clutter" that had grown bored of. It may have been the obvious now priceless baseball card or that rediculous cast iron mechanical bank your grand parents gave to you for christmas when you were 8.

We have seen all those shiny art like antiques that look valuable to anyone and some are, but more actually are not worth what was payed 50 years ago. The average person does not realize that some of the most wanted priceless artifacts many times look as if they were complete trash bring the highest value in the market.

This is a good thing for the collector in a sense that those rare occassions when you stumble across that fabulous find at tag sales or even the curb. The downside of this lack of knowledge is the fact that these finds will continue to be thrown out, destroyed, and simply not cared for the way such antiques should be cared for.

So with that said, as time goes on, the years pass, putting our times just abit further away from when all these magnificent treasures were in there hey day. Be it, watch fobs, glassware, vintage advertising, old postcards, americana, bicycle memorabilia whatever your collection is, take care of it, build to it, display it or hide it away! No matter what you do... Never stop collecting because you never know what you may find in your zone.

Happiness is Collecting.
Sincerely,
Big Gary
